Context and business problem

Stonor Search is a UK recruitment company (Buckinghamshire) placing people in marketing, PR, creative, digital & tech, data & insight, legal and AI & SaaS roles. It needed a new version of its website, designed in Figma, built as a production-grade Webflow site and launched at the same URL.

Design was not in my scope. My job was to turn the Figma design into a working, maintainable site.

Users and their goals

  • Candidates: want to see what kind of roles Stonor recruits for and get in touch quickly.
  • Hiring companies: want to understand Stonor’s specialisms and trust them with a search.
  • Stonor’s team: a site they can update without a developer.

Constraints

  • Implementation of an existing Figma design: no redesign.
  • The new version had to replace the old one without changing the URL.
  • Custom code only where Webflow’s no-code features were not enough.

My role and responsibilities

  • Implementing the design in Webflow, end to end
  • Setting up structure, content and site settings
  • Custom code where needed
  • Production-grade delivery

Process and key decisions

This was an implementation project, so the decisions were about how to build, not what to design.

1. Reading the design

I went through the Figma file to find repeating patterns before building, so they became reusable Webflow components and classes instead of one-off sections.

2. Structure and content

I built the site structure, moved the content in and configured the settings. Job listings run on the Webflow CMS.

3. Custom code where no-code was not enough

I custom-coded interactions and animations, the job filters and integrations.

4. QA and launch

I checked the build against the design on desktop and mobile before the new version went live on the existing domain.

Where AI fits

I used AI to speed up writing and checking custom code; every snippet was tested in Webflow before going live.

Solution

The new Stonor Search website, live at stonorsearch.com.

Outcome and impact

  • My new version of the site is live, delivered for Acclaim.
  • Stonor’s team can update content in Webflow themselves.

What I learned and what’s next

  • A clean component and class structure at the start is what keeps a Webflow site easy to hand over to the client.
